Our history
When I understood that preparing wasn't fear, but peace of mind.
My name is Jose Luis Rojas , and this story began long before the world changed. I'm a chef by profession , with over twenty-five years of experience in Venezuela, Spain, Italy, France, and Norway . Throughout my professional life, I've worked with people from different cultures and backgrounds, and in all of them, I've observed the same thing: most people aren't truly prepared when something unexpected happens.
The origin: long before COVID
Years before the pandemic brought the planet to a standstill, I began to notice worrying signs. Increasingly intense natural phenomena, geopolitical tensions, energy crises, and growing technological dependence revealed a clear pattern of vulnerability.
Instead of worrying, I decided to take action. I created a family preparedness plan , with the intention of staying calm and stable in the face of any eventuality.
When COVID-19 hit Norway, we didn't have to run to the supermarket or worry about supplies. We had already planned ahead.
It was then that I realized that true peace of mind doesn't depend on luck, but on preparation.
For a long time, many people said, "Jose, always busy, always on top of the news." But when cities shut down and uncertainty became routine, those same people understood that preparing wasn't about exaggerating, but about taking care of themselves intelligently . Thus, the idea of creating No Signal The Guide was born: a clear, practical, and human guide to help others be ready when the world stops.
How the guide was built
No Signal The Guide didn't emerge from improvisation. It was developed through a rigorous research and comparison process that combined international sources, personal experiences, and the support of artificial intelligence tools.
With the help of Zoe , an artificial intelligence specialized in data analysis and information organization, I collected and studied reference materials from:
Official citizen preparedness guides from cities such as New York, Los Angeles, London, Oslo, and Madrid.
Civil Protection Protocols of Europe and Latin America.
Israeli preparedness methods , known for their structured and preventive approach to urban crises.
Academic and government sources on emergency management, community resilience, and family planning.
Most traditional manuals simply list how to pack a 72-hour backpack, including storing water, food, and batteries. However, I realized that was just the starting point. No Signal The Guide expands on that vision, integrating areas that are usually left out:
Family planning strategies and responsibility roles.
Pre-emergency routines and emotional control.
Home preparation and basic energy management.
Digital resilience and alternative communications.
Urban and domestic security adapted to the environment.
Coordination with neighbors and local community.
Mental methods to stay calm and prioritize decisions.
What sets us apart
No Signal: The Guide isn't a doomsday manual or a shopping list. It's an educational tool designed to help people think clearly, act wisely, and adapt quickly.
Its content is structured so that anyone, regardless of experience, can create their own emergency plan and turn uncertainty into conscious preparation.
Our mission
The purpose of No Signal The Guide is clear: to help as many people as possible understand that preparing isn't about fear, it's about freedom.
Every person who learns, every family that organizes, and every community that becomes aware of its environment contributes to a stronger, more supportive, and more resilient world.
Our goal is to create a global culture of preparedness, where information is accessible, practical, and human.
A personal invitation
If you're reading this, you're already part of this story. We all have something to protect, and we can all learn to do it better.
No Signal The Guide was born from personal experience, but was built with collective knowledge, verified sources, and Zoe's technological assistance to offer the most comprehensive guide possible.
Being prepared means choosing calm over fear and action over uncertainty.
That's our story. And it's just beginning.
