About me

Hello everyone!

I'm José Luis Rojas, and for the past 25 years, I've delved into the secrets of Japanese cuisine. Currently, Oslo is my home, but life has taken me through bustling cities in America and Europe. I'm married to an incredible civil engineer, and together we've shared almost 18 years of adventures. We have two children, one in elementary school and the other in high school, who bring joy to our lives.

Throughout my journey, I've witnessed how life evolves at a dizzying pace. It's no secret that the world's population is constantly growing, creating an insatiable demand for food, energy, and resources. Like many of you, I've enjoyed the comforts of big cities, but I've also experienced the challenges that arise when something goes wrong, whether it's an issue with the elevator, a disruption in water supply, or those frustrating moments without internet connection.

But what if one day everything fails at the same time? There are numerous survival books for mountains, islands, and extreme climates, but I've noticed a lack of a specific guide for surviving a major crisis within a city. In recent years, we've seen movies and series on platforms like Netflix or HBO Max that depict the chaos of a global collapse. This is where I want to delve: Are we prepared to face something like this?

I'm not talking about a simple weather inconvenience, like a snowstorm or a tornado. I want to address the possibility of a total collapse, a global blackout, an economic crash, the worldwide fall of the Internet, a cyber-attack that paralyzes your city, or even the unprecedented fury of nature. This guide is designed to help us be prepared, so we know what to do when the time comes, or better yet, to have an action plan already in place.

I don't want to waste time creating apocalyptic scenarios; we're all aware that something like this could happen at any time. As families and communities, it's our responsibility to be ready. Join me on this journey towards preparation and safety amid uncertainty!

With determination,

José Luis Rojas
